18 year old school girl shot dead by office boy in Bengaluru
In a shocking incident, an 18-year-old girl was shot dead by a 42 year old office boy Mahesh on Tuesday night at Pragathi School and PU College, situated in Whitefield, Bemgaluru.
The incident occurred inside the school on Tuesday around at 10 PM.
According to the initial reports, the girl, identified as Gauthami, who stayed at the school hostel, died while her friend Shirisha was injured in this incident and has been hospitalised.
The office boy, Mahesh barged into the hostel room on the third floor in which the two girls, studying second year Pre-University course (standard 12) in Pragathi College at Kadugodi on city outskirts, were residing and fired, killing Gautami instantly and injuring her friend, Bengaluru Police Commissioner M N Reddi said.
The Karnataka police had formed three teams to nab the accused. The motive is yet to be cracked though.
Bangalore police have nabbed accused Mahesh K, the attender working with the institution. According to reliable sources, Mahesh was nabbed by the police while hiding at his sister Sailaja’s house at B Narayanapura near Old Madras Road.
Reddi said the attender working with the institution for the last two years was absconding and the motive behind the killing was not yet known.
