Finding Grandpa John A Journey to pre-Independence Kerala Annie George’s solo show, The Bridge

Annie George’s solo show, The Bridge, is a piece of family history, traced back through family memories.

Kerala born Annie explores the life and work of her grandfather Paduthottu Mathen John, a poet and author from pre-Independence Kerala.

Travelling back from present day, The Bridge blends theatrical storytelling, sound and projections, to uncover tales of courage and survival.

Originally commissioned for Glasgow’s 2014 Cultural Programme, The Bridge explores who we are, what home is and how we can live forever.
