‘God’ of cricket all set to ‘incarnate’ as Team India’s coach

Legendary batsman and Bharat Ratna recipient, Sachin Tendulkar is all set to replace Duncan Fletcher as Team India’s coach, for no one knows the Indian team better than the legend.

The BCCI announced this decision after weeks of speculation over who would succeed Fletcher after World Cup. Sachin has been given a contract of three years. Sachin is likely to join Team India after the IPL ends.

It is believed that MS Dhoni and Virat Kholi had a major role in recommending Sachin for this role. The board is also said to have consulted former BCCI Chief N Srinivasan and Team Drector Ravi Shastri, before appointing Sachin Tendulkar as the coach.

BCCI President, Jagmohan Dalmiya said that the terms and conditions of Sachin’s appointment would be the same as that of Fletcher’s.

When asked about Sachin’s appointment, Dhoni said Sachin’s style of coaching will surely be the same as his playing days. “Hardworking, disciplined, very professionally driven and played to his utmost potential,” Dhoni said. “He will surely bring the same characteristics to his coaching.”
