Sankranthi Celebrations 2015 by Telugu Association London (TAL)

TAL Sankranthi Grand Celebrated in London

Bhogipallu, Bommala Koluvu, Rangoli competition and many more cultural & entertainment programs were organised by TAL in celebrations of Makara Sankranthi in a grand style in Bromley (South London) on 17 Jan 2015.

More than 250 adults and children have joined in these celebrations, who have praised TAL’s contributions and efforts trying to retain Telugu language and culture in future generations especially children living in the UK. They have said that they are very happy to be part of this event. Specially arranged Bommala koluvu attracted all.

TAL chairman Mrs Dharmavati Nistala praised the Children and adults taken part in Gobbemmala dances and cultural activities, Women taken part in Rangoli competition. She has specially thanked Mrs Lavanya Kavarthapu, Mr Sunil Gandham, Mrs Asha Pedda and other core members Venu, Praveen, Arun, Bhanu, Naveen, Sundaram, Bharathi, Vandana and Suneela for organising the entire program.

Mrs Dharmavati has invited all Telugu families living in London and Britain to join the forth coming TAL 10th anniversary Ugadi celebrations. Vamsee Mohan, TAL Trustee has explained various events that TAL organising throughout the year and requested all Telugu families to join their children in TAL Cultural Centres (TCC) to retain Telugu language and culture in future generations. Sridhar Medichetty, TAL Trustee has received all guests attended these celebrations.

Chief Guest of the event The Worshipful the Mayor of Bromley Councillor Julian Benington and The Mayoress Valerie Benington expressed happiness to join so Telugu community in TAL Sankranthi Celebrations. Councillor praised TAL services to the Telugu Community.

TAL Trustees, Advisors, Founder members and other life members were present in these celebrations.
