Schools to remain open on Telangana Formation Day!
Telangana’s first formation day, which falls on June 2nd, is planned to be celebrated in a grand manner by the state government. Though the summer vacation is usually on during this time, the state government intends to keep the schools open on that day.
The Chief Minister, K. Chandrasekhar Rao, is keen on a grand celebration for the State Formation day.
For this to happen, the government is considering to alter the entire academic schedule so that on June 2, schools will be open. The academic calendar would have to be changed so that schools reopen earlier than usual.
Telangana Formation Day
Although nothing has been finalized, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has asked officials to come out with the best possible way for the problem. The officials have been instructed that the first Formation Day should be celebrated with grandeur that involves schools too. Earlier, NDA Government also asked education institutions to celebrate special days like Unity and Good Governance Day and on Teachers Day; Prime Minister Narendra Modi had even aired a speech to school students.
Sources state that on the formation day, schools will be conducting competitions, quizzes and debates on the history of Telangana State. The summer holidays, according to the Telangana academic calendar for schools, are from April 24 to June 11.
