Telugu Association of London (TAL) National Badminton Finals 2014

Telugu Association of London (TAL) is a non-profitable charity orgination for the interests of Telugu speaking people in London, UK. TAL has been conducting many events every year for the Telugu community in England.

This year is its 3rd year in sports event Badminton. The 3rd National level Badminton Tournament was held from 2nd of March and the finals was held on the 8th of March 2014. The finals were held on at Osterley Sports Centre

The chief guest of the event was the former Indian badminton player Padma Bhushan Pullela Gopichand. Pullela Gopichand won the All England Open Badminton Championships in 2001 becoming the second Indian to achieve this feat after Prakash Padukone. Now, he runs the Gopichand Badminton Academy, which is a badminton training facility based in Hyderabad, South India. The facility trains several Indian badminton players including Saina Nehwal, Parupalli Kashyap, P. V. Sindhu and Gurusai Datt.

TAL dedicated that event to International Women’s Day. Prizes were distributed to the winners.
