The TOTAL BWF Badminton World Championships, Glasgow (21 – 27 August 2017)

The best badminton players in the world will be heading to Scotland this August to compete in the TOTAL BWF World Championships 2017 in Glasgow.


Saina Nehwal, who recently won the Malaysian Masters Grand Prix Gold after returning from injury, will head up the competition against two-time Women’s Singles World Champ and Olympic gold medallist, Carolina Marin. She’ll be joined by fellow Indian P V Sindhu, who won the Silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics, and recently captained the winning 2017 Premier Badminton League team, Chennai Smashers.


Over in the Men’s Singles, Srikanth Kidambi and Ajay Jayaram will be taking on current World Champ Chen Long, World no.1 Lee Chong Wei and young Danish star, Viktor Axelsen.
